November 14, 2023 – Another successful (and sometimes sunny) Somos Inc Conference has come and gone, and many of DHC’s Government Relations team was on hand at the annual gathering in San Juan, Puerto Rico from November 8-12th.

Filled with meet and greets and workshops on mental health, workforce development, public safety, and health equity; a large number of members from the city council, state legislature, the mayor’s, and the governor’s office were in attendance.

Attending from DHC’s Government Relations team were Sid Davidoff, Keith Wright, Bianca Rajpersaud, Steve Malito, Nicole L. Weingartner, Arthur Goldstein, Sean Crowley, and Zack Fink.

 The theme of this year’s Somos was “Strengthening & Supporting Our Communities”, and it was planned under the leadership of the NYS Assembly & Senate Puerto Rican/Hispanic Taskforce. The planning, steering, and delivering of the Somos Conference ’23 was expertly managed by Hon. Karines Reyes (Chair), Hon. Carl E. Heastie (Assembly Speaker), and Hon. Andrea Stewart Cousins (Senate Majority Leader), who helped to make sure it was well attended and packed with excellent programs.
