May 13, 2022 – Jake Roach, Nicole L. Weingartner, and Jonathan McCollum of DHC’s Government Relations team secured $2.8M in Community Project Funding for our client the Village of Bellport, New York.

DHC coordinated with Village officials and worked closely with the Offices of Congressman Lee Zeldin, Senator Chuck Schumer, and Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, to request this funding in the FY22 Federal Appropriations Bill.

The project will fund the reconstruction of Bellport’s ferry terminal and dock system, which is used by village residents, the Bellport Village/Fire Island Ferry, and local first responder vessels.
