DHC's Federal Team Helps Client CEI Obtain $6M DOE Grant

October 11, 2021 – Davidoff Hutcher and Citron’s Federal Government Relations Washington, D.C. team, lobbyists Jonathan McCollum and Jake Roach secured a $6 Million grant from the Department of Education (DOE) for longtime client, The Center for Educational Innovation (CEI),

CEI was awarded a highly competitive five-year Assistance for Arts Education for $6 Million and will use the funding to train teachers in utilizing arts-based instructional strategies to directly teach ELA and Math and strengthen SEL skills.

CEI will be working directly with over 400 teachers of students with developmental differences in grades K-2 in NYC School District 75 and K-5 teachers in a national cohort across five states.

DHC’s team worked closely with CEI helping to identify the funding opportunity, building support for CEI’s proposal, securing letters of recommendation from key Members of Congress and advocating aggressively for their client’s proposal.
