Stefan also advises clients on advanced insurance solutions such as premium finance and life settlements.
Stefan designs complex trusts, including Charitable Lead Trusts, Charitable Remainder Trusts, Domestic and Offshore Asset Protection Trusts, Grantor Retained Annuity Trusts, Intentionally Defective Trusts, Qualified Personal Residence Trusts, Spousal Lifetime Access Trusts, and other planning concepts like Medicaid trusts, supplemental needs trusts, pet trusts, dynasty trusts, hybrid trusts and more. And he regularly evaluates existing trusts – guiding clients when breaking irrevocable trusts, decanting, merging, and more.
Stefan also has significant experience with start-ups, from key employee to executive leadership, new business ventures and product launches – the most successful of which – resulted in over a billion dollars of business within 12 months.
He provides direction on entity formation, LLC/FLP operating agreements, acquisitions, spinoffs, and reorganizations. Prior to joining the firm, he was the lead practice attorney of Wills, Trusts and Estates at a Florida-based law firm.
Prior to his law career, Stefan specialized in strategy, risk management, finance, operations and portfolio servicing. He also provided compliance solutions to the accounts receivable industry, advised on corporate governance matters and private equity offerings. For nearly a decade, Stefan served in multiple roles for the Ibex Group, a wealth management solutions provider for high-net individuals and families, where he specialized in sophisticated estate planning solutions, offshore investment structures and advanced insurance solutions.
