August 10, 2023 – Federal Government Relations Chair, Jonathan McCollum, spoke to USA Today regarding student loan debt relief for their article “Is it possible to cancel student loan debt?”

McCollum detailed an “on ramp” measure that will allow borrowers time to resume full payments without reporting missed or late payments to credit bureaus.

Also pointing out that the SAVE program will give overburdened borrowers some breathing room, as the Administration’s goal remains to reduce the cost of higher education long-term.
