September 13, 2024 –  Partner and Chair of the Fashion Law practice, Charles Klein, was recently appointed a monthly contributor to the Fashion Mannuscript magazine, with a column titled.

In Charles’ column, “My Fashion Legal Odyssey”, he will be looking back over his 40-year career, using prior license, factoring, distribution, investment and sales rep agreements, showroom and store leases, mergers and acquisitions, registration of trademarks, copyrights and patents, business formation, even litigation matters from the past as fact patterns for valuable lessons everyone can learn from. 

This issue’s article is set in the 1980s when as a young attorney at a white show law firm he had the opportunity to as the subtitle indicates migrate, “From Wall Street to Fashion Avenue”. It is an enjoyable read that offers  wonderful insights into a time that is indelible to all who lived through it, and worthy of exploring to those who came afterwards.
