CLIENT SPOTLIGHT: DHC Joins Staten Island Leaders for Hunts Point Produce Distribution
DHC’s Bianca Rajpersaud, Associate Director of Government Relations — and a lifelong Staten Island resident — joined local leaders in packing and distributing 500 bags of fresh produce, in coordination with Community Health Action of Staten Island’s food pantry. The effort brought together government partners, community organizations, and volunteers committed to helping residents prepare for the holiday season.
Bianca worked alongside SI Borough President Vito Fossella’s team and Assembly Deputy Majority Leader Charles Fall to prepare the fresh fruits and vegetables donated by the Hunts Point Produce Market, with additional support from Lifestyles for the Disabled. Together, the group assembled bags filled with nutritious items that were delivered directly to Staten Island households.
As Borough President Fossella noted, “Our office packed 500 bags of fresh produce… We hope these groceries help Staten Islanders enjoy a warm, generous, and bountiful Thanksgiving meal.” His remarks underscored the importance of making healthy food accessible to residents—particularly during a time when many families are preparing for the holidays.
DHC is pleased to help support this collaborative effort to bring fresh produce to Staten Island families.
