Community Leaders and Elected Officials Join SCO Family of Services at Brooklyn Stakeholder Forum
October 22, 2025 (Brooklyn NY) – SCO Family of Services welcomed elected officials, community partners, and supporters to its Morris Koppelman Early Childhood Education Center in Brooklyn for a Stakeholder Forum focused on Community, Commitment, Change. The event celebrated 130 years of strengthening New York’s families and introduced SCO’s new 5-Year Strategic Plan, outlining priorities for deeper community impact and sustainable growth.
The forum was attended by several elected officials who showed strong support for SCO’s mission, including NYC Council Member Rita Joseph, Brooklyn Borough President Antonio Reynoso, NYS Senator Roxanne Persaud, NYC Council Members Mercedes Narcisse and Chi Ossé, and NYS Assembly Member Latrice Walker. Representing Davidoff Hutcher & Citron LLP (DHC), Arthur Goldstein, Partner, Government Relations & Administrative Law; Sean E. Crowley, Partner, Government Relations; and Melissa Chapman-Samad, Senior Director, Government Relations, joined SCO leadership and stakeholders — reinforcing DHC’s commitment to supporting organizations that improve the lives of New Yorkers.

84 programs, 120 locations, and more than 45,000 New Yorkers served annually, supported by 3,000 staff members.
A compelling moment came from Don-Tay Jerimiah, who shared how SCO’s programs provided stability, guidance, and opportunity during a challenging time in his life.
