August 17, 2023 – Leslie Barbara, Chair of the Divorce & Family Law group, was featured in The Daily Express US about the pre-nuptial agreement between Kevin Costner and Christine Baumgartner for their article “Kevin Costner’s ex Christine ‘losing credibility’ in divorce war, claims top lawyer.”

Barbara said the public perception of Baumgarner’s actions during this period is that she is “playing games,” as claims regarding her understanding of the prenup she signed with her now-ex may result in “a lack of credibility.”

This comes after Baumgartner refused to vacate the home she shared with Costner, which Barbara called “obstructionist behavior” that could harm her position in the divorce. However, she noted that the 30-day period in which Baumgartner was expected to leave the home didn’t properly factor in the children the couple share.
