September 9, 2024 – Nicole L. Weingartner, Director of State Government Affairs has been named one of Long Island Business News’ “Top 50 Women in Business” for 2024, recognizing her outstanding business acumen, dedication to mentoring, and deep commitment to community involvement.

The Top 50 Women in Business Award is a significant recognition, highlighting Long Island’s most influential women across various industries. The honorees are chosen by a committee comprising previous award recipients and the leadership team of Long Island Business News. This year, the awards ceremony will take place on October 17 at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury, NY, where Nicole and her fellow honorees will be celebrated for their remarkable contributions.

As our Director of State Government Affairs, Nicole plays a critical role in providing strategic advocacy support to the firm’s state government relations clients. Her expertise spans various areas, including budgetary, legislative, and regulatory matters; designing and implementing legislative advocacy campaigns; reviewing the potential implications of state and local laws; and assisting with the operations of Political Action Committees (PACs).

Nicole’s skill set is particularly valuable for government clients operating on Long Island, where her extensive relationships at the municipal, county, state, and federal levels allow her to navigate complex issues like funding, contracting, procurement, and crisis management. Her career began with roles as a Communications Specialist for the New York State Senate and as a Regional Coordinator of Intergovernmental Relations for the New York State Assembly. These positions provided her with invaluable experience in Albany’s legislative and budget processes, which she now leverages to benefit her clients.

Beyond her professional achievements, Nicole has demonstrated a strong commitment to leadership and community service. She has been actively involved in various organizations, including serving as Co-Chair of the Viscardi Advisory Council, participating in the Women’s Steering Committee of the Association for a Better New York (ABNY), and holding a position on the Board of Directors of the Association of Fundraising Professionals’ Long Island chapter. Additionally, she is a member of the U.S. Government Relations Committee of the Association of Fundraising Professionals Global.

Her recognition as one of the “Top 50 Women in Business” reflects her dedication, leadership, and passion for making a positive impact on Long Island and beyond.
