Wright Featured on the Cover of City & State Magazine

August 28, 2024 – Keith L.T. Wright, Director of Strategic Planning in the Government Relations practice was recently featured on the cover of City & State magazine and the focus of two articles in the same issue.

Keith remains a key figure in Harlem politics, even a decade after leaving elected office. Wright, who once held the Assembly seat his 29-year-old son Jordan is now poised to win, is focusing on mentoring the next generation of leaders.

Wright’s support for his son Jordan’s campaign for Assembly District 70 and Yusef Salaam’s successful bid for New York City Council District 9 highlights his ongoing commitment to Harlem. Despite setbacks, including a significant defeat by Rep. Adriano Espaillat and several high-profile political losses, Wright continues to play a pivotal role in shaping Harlem’s future.

“A lot of times you can help folks more than you can help yourself,” he said. “I may not be in elected office now, but I think I can add some things as a coach. And it’s been fun, but it’s been grueling.”

His efforts come at a time when Harlem’s political landscape is shifting, with new leaders and changing demographics challenging the traditional power structures. Critics argue that Wright represents an older era, but his work in supporting emerging leaders like Jordan and Salaam reflects his dedication to rejuvenating Harlem’s political scene.
