August 14, 2023 – Bankruptcy Law Partner Jonathan Pasternak spoke to The New York Times about the Yellow Trucking Company’s bankruptcy filing in their article “Yellow Says It Will Repay Federal Debt. Legal Experts Are Skeptical.”

Discussing Yellow’s plans to liquidate trucks and equipment to pay back the second portion of $400 million the company has in federal loans, Pasternak wasn’t overly optimistic that the sale would bring in enough to pay off that federal loan.

Pasternak highlighted that the trucks and equipment now have wear and tear from use and selling them in a depressed economy may not bring in as much as Yellow is projecting.
