Hutcher Grabs Headlines Again Over MSG Attorney Ban
March 8, 2023 – Co-Managing Partner, Larry Hutcher, Chair of Davidoff Hutcher & Citron’s Commercial Litigation practice was interviewed by the New York Post, New York Daily News, New York Law Journal and Law360 today on DHC’s embattled litigation against Madison Square Garden Entertainment and owner James Dolan.
In Florida for the Coalition for Ticket Fairness Conference, Hutcher saw an opportunity to attend his beloved Knicks play an away game against the Miami Heat. Still unable to attend home games at MSG due to Dolan’s use of facial recognition software to ban attorneys in litigation against his firm, Hutcher was proudly photographed holding a sign that read “Hey Dolan, No Ban Can Stop this Knick Fan” in reference to the fact that Hutcher had to travel out of state to watch his team play.
Hutcher has called Dolan’s actions “vindictive against attorneys” and raised concerns about the precedent that could be set about businesses barring attorneys if MSG were to win in court. After returning to court on Tuesday for the next round of battle against Dolan and his controversial policies, Hutcher is optimistically expecting a ruling in his, and his coworkers, favor.
