November 3, 2022 – Sean Crowley, attorney and Partner in the Government Relations group recently moderated a panel at City & State Magazine’s “Government Procurement Conference 2022“.

Sean’s panel “The Future of Cooperative Procurement: How Everyone Can Benefit” explored how procurement, by definition is a  cooperative process, where government entities contract services from private contractors. However, more opportunities for collaboration exist on each side of the deal, including subcontracting with prime contractors, using the shared services model, and collaborating with sustainable procurement entities.

Sean’s panelists discussed ways to create strategic partnerships, modernize the procurement process, and generate ideas for cooperation. Serving on his panel were:

  • Eric Alemany, Senior Director – Supplier Relationship Management, Strategic Supply Management,  New York Power Authority
  • Charlette Hamamgian, Deputy Comptroller for Contracts and Procurement, New York City
  • Adam Akmal-Gonzalez, Manager Business Diversity – East, CDW
