September 23, 2026 (NoHo, Manhattan) – In an ongoing campaign to Save The Landmark Merchant’s House, DHC joined Executive Director Margaret Halsey Gardiner and Curator & Collections Manager, Camille Czerkowicz in touring the site with New York City Council Member, Shekar Krishnan. The land-marked site houses the most recent, fully in-tact, Underground Railroad discovery in New York – a concealed passageway under a bedroom dresser, used by freedom seekers. See NY1 clip here.
