January 5, 2024 – Thank you to New York State Senate Environmental Conservation Chair, Pete Harckham for recently sharing important conservation insights and issues affecting the wine and spirits industry with Michael Correra, Executive Director of the Metro Package Store Association (Metro) and Tony Russo (Owner of Aries Wine & Spirts) a Metro Store Member.

Steve Malito (Partner & Chair, State Government Relations practice) facilitated the meeting for Metro which was held at Aries Wine & Spirits located in White Plains, NY.

Metro Package Store Association is a non-profit organization that provides a strong voice for independent liquor retailers, advocating on behalf of its members by responding swiftly to legislative initiatives in Albany to ensure that its member businesses are represented in the state legislature and policy makers.  Metro monitors legislative bill introductions and maintains relationships with key elected officials in Albany to keep its members engaged and informed.
