November 19, 2025 – DHC’s Melissa Chapman-Samad, Associate Director of Government Relations, joined the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce (BCC) and Cross River Bank for a series of four check presentations supporting small businesses across Brooklyn — including a stop at Therapy Wine Bar 2.0 in Bedford-Stuyvesant.

Co-owner Anthony Williams expressed his gratitude, noting that the funds will help offset recent flood damage to the neighborhood establishment. New York State Assembly Member Stefani Zinerman emphasized the broader value of this support, calling it “game changing for small business owners.”

Congress Member Hakeem Jeffries’ Green & Gold Aide Jonah Warner echoed this appreciation, noting the importance of continued investment in community-anchored businesses.

With the involvement of DHC and its government relations professionals, initiatives like these continue helping entrepreneurs regain stability and strengthen Brooklyn’s economic landscape.
