October 28, 2026 — The National Association of Minority Contractors (NAMC) NY Tri-State Chapter hosted another successful Unity Power Breakfast earlier today, bringing together contractors, industry leaders, and public agency representatives for a conversation on the future of New York City’s construction industry.

Thanks to Vice President and Board member, Mildred Tolentino, and out going President, Nayan Parikh for hosting DOB Commissioner Ahmed Tigani and DCAS Commissioner, Yume Kitasei.  We had the added bonus of hearing from Michael Gardner, the Chief Diversity Office for our great city.  All gave detailed presentations and took on all questions from NAMC members.

The breakfast is part of NAMC’s ongoing effort to strengthen ties between the public sector and minority-owned construction firms across the region.
