September 18, 2026 — St. Francis College President Tim Cecere was a featured panelist at City & State’s 2026 NY Economic & Workforce Development Summit, held Thursday, September 17, 2026, at the Museum of Jewish Heritage in Lower Manhattan. The summit brought together policymakers, business leaders, educators and workforce professionals to discuss strategies for economic growth, workforce readiness and job creation.

Cecere spoke on the day’s closing panel, “Driving Innovation, and Economic Competitiveness,” moderated by John Celock, Special Projects Editor at City & State NY. The panel focused on how innovation, entrepreneurship and creative problem-solving strengthen industries and support new business growth as AI and emerging technologies advance.

Cecere brought a distinctive perspective to the conversation, with decades of experience in institutional effectiveness, strategic positioning, and talent development and management from his work with WPP. A Brooklyn native, he is among the first in his family to attend college. He was recently recognized among City & State’s 2026 Trailblazers in Higher Education.
