August 16, 2019 DHC Real Estate Law Partner William (“Bill”) Walzer and Chair of the Commercial Banking & Finance Law practice spoke to Bankrate about the advantages and disadvantages of purchasing a home without a real estate agent.

Walzer explained that homeowners who don’t use an agent typically save about 3% of the purchase price.

But agents are a very useful resource in dealing with the mortgage application, offer letters, deed transfers, and other required paperwork.
