December 19, 2023 – Lou Coletti, Senior Adviser in the Construction Law practice was consulted by Crain’s New York Business for their article “Bronx DA Joins Investigation of Collapsed Building Site”.

The story covers the recent partial collapse of an apartment building that was under repair in the Bronx, where thankfully none of the residents in 47 apartments perished, but all were left homeless right before the holiday season; when a wall of the structure sheared off, the cause is under investigation.

Having recently stepped down as former head of the Building Trades Employers’ Association, a contractor group, Lou provided a seasoned perspective on what some of the next steps might look like for the Bronx DA’s office and the New York City Building Department in their ongoing investigation.
