September 19, 2022 – Steve Malito, Chair of our NYS Government Relations practice with Henry Viscardi School President, Chris Rosa and Board Member, Cathy Castagna, CEO of Castagna Realty at Viscardi’s annual fundraising golf event at the Mill River Club on September 19th.

Dozens of golfers spent the day helping to raise vital funds for the Viscardi Center’s youth transition and employment programs for adolescents and adults – including veterans – with disabilities.

The Viscardi Center was founded by Dr. Henry Viscardi, Jr. in 1952, who himself wore prosthetic legs and acted as a disability advisor to eight U.S. presidents.  Committed to enhancing the lives of people with disabilities through equal access to education and employment opportunities, Dr. Viscardi, broke new ground by establishing one of the first organizations in the world to be staffed primarily by men and women in the disability community.

Today, the Viscardi Center is advancing their founder’s legacy as a hub for leading edge approaches to education and employment. As a network of nonprofits providing a range of programs and services, The Viscardi Center is dedicated to eliminating barriers that people with disabilities of all ages face in the classroom, at work, and in our communities.

Davidoff Hutcher & Citron LLP’s Government Relations professionals are proud to work alongside the Viscardi Center’s committed leadership to bring proactive improvements to quality of life issues for our fellow citizens,  their families and our communities.
