February 24, 2023 – Alex McBride, Senior Counsel in Davidoff Hutcher & Citron’s Commercial Litigation practice penned a brilliant article for the Tulanian Winter ’23 issue titled “Separate Car Act“.

The Tulanian is the magazine of his law school alma mater, Tulane University and his article brings to light the many twists and turns of a 19th-century U.S. Supreme Court decision, Plessy v. Ferguson, which was the rationale for Jim Crow segregation laws until the landmark case, Brown v. Board of Education overturned them in 1954.

Extremely well-researched and cogently presented, Alex’s article is a timely reminder of the struggle for civil rights and how far we’ve come, thanks to the perseverance of many individuals, over long, hard fraught years in our country.
