DHC’s Howard Presant Honored By The National Society of Black Engineers

DHC’s Howard Presant was honored with the National Society of Black Engineers National Chairs Council 2016 Award on March 26, 2016, at the 42nd Annual Society of Black Engineers National Convention, held in Boston.

The award is to recognize individuals who have made substantial contributions to the National Society of Black Engineers, a student organization. Mr. Presant first represented the NSBE in the early 1980’s.

The organization’s purpose is to improve the recruitment and retention of black and minority engineers. Originally founded in 1975 by six undergraduates at Purdue University, its membership was about 1,000 members in the 1980s and now has grown to more than 30,000, including international chapters.  Their national and international headquarters are in Washington, DC.
