“WOMAN OF THE YEAR” NICOLE L. WEINGARTNER NAMED BY NYS FEDERATION

(Long Island, NY) The New York State Federation of Republican Women is proud to announce that Nicole L. Weingartner of Astoria, New York is their 2016 “Woman of the Year” to be recognized at the 2016 NYSFRW Conference being held at The Desmond Hotel and Conference Center in Albany from Sunday, April 10, 2016 to Tuesday, April 12, 2016. Mrs. Weingartner will be feted at a sumptuous Gala Dinner Dance celebration being held on Monday evening, April 11, and it is open to the public. Dignitaries from across the state and nation will be attending. The evening’s speakers will include Republican National Co-Chair Sharon Day, New York State Republican Committee Chair Ed Cox and National Federation President Carrie Almond. According to Jo-Ann Clear, NYSFRW President, and Ann Schockett, Immediate Past President and NFRW Member-at-Large, “Nicole Weingartner represents the ‘best of the best’ in New York State. We are proud to recognize and highlight her vast achievements. We thank her for her tremendous service to our communities, state and nation!  This most highly competitive award will be bestowed upon Mrs. Weingartner as this year’s most outstanding woman for furthering women’s political involvement in the Federation and in the Republican Party in New York State. “I am honored to receive this year’s New York State Federation of Republican Women’s Woman of the Year award,” said Nicole L. Weingartner. “The Federation has been a vital resource for New York State, as well as the entire country, in furthering the important work of getting more women involved in the political process and advancing the conservative values of the Republican Party.”

Nicole L. Weingartner is the State Government Relations Coordinator of Davidoff Hutcher & Citron LLP’s Government Relations Group. Mrs. Weingartner is experienced in the government sector, previously working as a Web Communications Specialist for New York State Senator Kemp Hannon, as well as a Regional Coordinator of Intergovernmental Relations for New York State Assembly Minority Leader, Brian Kolb.

Mrs. Weingartner been a leader within many political and civic organizations outside of the workplace, serving as the National Committeewoman for the New York State Young Republicans, Secretary of the New York Young Republican Club, Inc., Chair of the Young Republican National Federation’s National Convention Oversight Committee, Co-Chair of the Young Republican National Federation’s Women Mentoring Committee, Co-Chair of the Young Professionals Committee of the Women’s National Republican Club, Young Republican Liaison to the New York State Federation of Republican Women as well as a Board Member of Garden City Kiwanis. Mrs. Weingartner lives in Astoria, Queens with her husband, Executive Director of the New York Republican State Committee, Jason Weingartner.
